A Level and GCSE Mathematics and Further Mathematics teacher and highly experienced UCAS, Oxbridge and university admissions advis

Advert description
I have a first class degree in Mathematics from UCL and a PGCE in Mathematics teaching. I have over 30 years' successful classroom teaching and tutoring experience in Mathematics, developing students' understanding, confidence and mastery in applying Maths across the range of topic content. I work patiently with students to strengthen their understanding, to make links between their learning and to apply their learning in context, to consolidate the key techniques with confidence and to identify and eliminate common misconceptions - hopefully, enjoying the problem solving along the way.

I have supported students in UKMT Maths Challenges and Olympiads, helping students find connections and beauty in their mathematical learning. I have successfully supported Oxbridge candidates with their entrance exams, MAT and STEP as well as cultivating their confidence through the interview process. I have supported hundreds of Sixth Form students in their university applications, particularly in giving advice in writing and sculpting their Personal Statements.

In particular, I use online whiteboards to ensure that I am able to see your Mathematics work and to build your confidence. I employ a variety of resources tailored to help you learn as an individual, including presentations, textbooks, worksheets and interactive games.
