I have a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Oxford and extensive experience in the field of medicinal chemistry, which bridges the cutting edge of biology and chemistry. I have sixteen years in tutoring students in the three sciences at GCSE level, as well as A level Biology and Chemistry. I have a relaxed, informal style which puts students at their ease and encourages them to make the tutorial a properly interactive experience. I use Skype and Microsoft Whiteboard to allow good communication between myself and my student.

Colin managed to furnish my son with the necessary skills to move up a set in GCSE Maths, a subject he enjoys but was being held back in, and subsequently my son gained a 9 at GCSE level. Colin tutored our daughter Hannah in GCSE maths. Prior to starting lessons with Colin she lacked confidence and at times struggled in applying her knowledge. Colin formed a great rapport with Hannah and helped her come out of her shell. As her confidence grew, so did her knowledge and recall. Hannah was predicted a 5 in her mock GCSE maths.
