Advert description
Hi! I’m a Year 12 student at Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School, currently studying A-level Maths, Further Maths, Economics and History.
Having achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths, alongside seven Grade 8s and 9s overall, I understand what it takes to achieve strong results and the importance of developing effective techniques and a solid understanding of the subject.
I’m genuinely enthusiastic about maths and believe it can be an enjoyable and rewarding subject when taught in the right way. My aim is to share that enthusiasm with my students, helping them build confidence, develop a genuine interest in maths and approach even the most challenging questions without feeling overwhelmed.
My tutoring sessions would focus on establishing a strong foundation by mastering the fundamental principles of maths before gradually building towards more complex topics and exam-style questions. I also hope to share the methods, shortcuts and exam techniques that helped me achieve my own results, whilst adapting each lesson to suit the individual student’s ability, learning style and goals.
I’m a patient, approachable and hardworking person, and I understand that every student learns differently. Whether a student needs extra support with the basics, wants to improve their exam technique or is aiming for the highest grades, I’d love to help them reach their potential.
Ultimately, I want my students to leave each lesson feeling more confident, capable and perhaps even enjoying maths a little more than they did before!
