I am a dedicated educationalist to enjoys nurturing and developing pupils to enable them to reach their true potential

I qualified as a Primary Teacher at Oxford Brookes University. I am currently an active supply teacher teaching in a number of venues and nurture and teach pupils throughout the mainstream primary sector from Early Years through to Year 6. I also tutor a number of pupils after school and during the weekend, coverinig English and Maths, as well as preparation needs towards the 11+ and Independent Common Entrance exams.

Due to the hours that I teach, my availability is quite flexible. I am an enthusiastic and dedicated tutor/teacher who believe that learning is an ongoing journey - and as a result - should be enjoyed and not regarded as a chore or something to be frightened of. I strongly believe that education is a valuable tool to have and should not just be contained to the classroom.

The learning experience should be enjoyed and therefore, an ongoing experience throughout ones life. The Primary school years are crucial to setting the foundations for life long learning and as a result accommodating to the needs of individual pupils. As we all learn differently, these qualities in learning must be met. Having taught in many primary school, I have noticed many gaps within the curriculum which require filling. The classroom is not always the best place for this to be achieved.

I have also taught a number of pupils with special educational needs both in the classroom and as a tutor. As a result, the lessons and resoures as a tutor are able to be tailored to the needs of the learning concept and the child.
