Advert description
As an aspiring teacher, I’m deeply passionate about sharing knowledge and building students’ confidence in learning. I believe everyone can succeed with the right support – a lesson I learned firsthand when a teacher believed in me at a time I didn’t believe in myself.
Currently studying English Language and Literature (after completing A-Levels last year), I’m fascinated by how language connects us and how we engage with texts from classics to contemporary works. My tutoring approach is rooted in compassion, empathy, and patience: every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to individual needs – whether it’s writing feedback, concept clarification, revision techniques, or exam support.
The most rewarding part of teaching is watching students achieve what they thought was impossible – that’s what drives me to help learners realise their full potential.
My experience includes a 2-week KS2 classroom placement, where I supported English text recall, rewriting, and writing structures. For 1 year in sixth form, I served as an English Subject Prefect, mentoring younger students to strengthen their writing, refine ideas, and grow in confidence. Since November 2025, I’ve volunteered in a university refugee teaching programme, working with class teachers to help refugees learn English – often rephrasing concepts for clarity.
I recently completed LinkedIn Learning’s Creating an Engaging Learning Environment course, developing strategies to support and include all learners. I also have 5 years of netball coaching and umpiring experience across ages 8 to adults, honing my ability to adapt communication and delivery for every individual.
If you’re looking for a tutor who listens, adapts, and helps you gain real confidence in English language and literature, I’d love to support you – whether your goal is exam prep, better writing, or deeper understanding of texts.
