Professional English Tutor of 15 years providing expert tuition to KS3/GCSE students

I specialise in English Literature and Language and Creative Writing for Children. I graduated with a First-Class Honours Batchelor's Degree from The University of Winchester in 2009 and then a Master's Degree with Distinction from The University of Winchester in 2012. I began private tuition for English GCSE students in 2013 and have been teaching for nearly 14 years.
Textual and poetry analysis are my specialising areas which feature in both the Language and Literature exam papers. All lessons are geared towards helping students understand how to read texts from an analytical perspective and therefore produce written work which is more in-depth and critically minded.
My passion for the subject enables me to cultivate high student engagement. Each tutorial is tailored specifically to the student's individual requirements and focuses on setting and achieving personal goals which not only builds confidence, but also enables them to attain higher grades.
I have a comprehensive understanding of the GCSE English Curriculum and extensive experience in teaching the AQA and Eduqas (WJEC) syllabuses.
I have also developed my own creative writing worksheets which encourages students to create the beautiful sensory descriptions, unique character perspectives and exciting story beginnings necessary for attaining a good grade in the creative writing section of Language Paper One.
Lessons can be conducted online via platforms such as Microsoft Teams or at the student's home depending on distance of location.
