Advert description
My approach is to deliver fully personalised lessons, adapted to each student’s learning style and academic goals. At the start, I conduct a short diagnostic to identify knowledge gaps and areas of weakness. From there, I create a structured plan that reinforces fundamentals while progressively tackling more complex topics.
For example, while tutoring GCSE Chemistry students online, I often found that misconceptions about atomic structure or bonding created difficulties later in energetics and organic chemistry. By revisiting these “holes” early, students built a stronger foundation and felt more confident moving forward. Similarly, with Sixth Form Maths students, I emphasised problem-based learning — guiding them through exam-style questions, then breaking solutions into clear, step-by-step methods.
I combine active recall techniques (mini quizzes, spaced repetition) with guided practice, so students not only memorise content but also learn to apply it under exam conditions. I also set short-term, achievable goals that allow students to track their progress and build confidence.
