I'm a qualified Computing teacher (PGCE, QTS) with hands-on classroom experience teaching programming, algorithms, and computer systems to pupils of different ages and abilities. I focus on breaking topics down into small, manageable steps, checking understanding as I go rather than assuming it's there, so if something isn't clicking, we slow down and approach it differently rather than pushing on regardless. I also hold a First Class degree in Digital Media and Communications, which helps me connect computing to real, practical examples rather than pure theory, something I find makes the subject feel far more relevant, especially for learners who don't yet see why it matters to them.
