PhD (Finance) graduate with 4 fours teaching experience

I hold a PhD in Accounting and Finance and am currently teaching at the University of Manchester. I have four years of experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students across finance, econometrics, quantitative methods, and interdisciplinary modules. My tutoring is designed for diverse learners, including those from non-quantitative disciplines who benefit from clear scaffolding, supportive pacing, and accessible, practice-based learning. I aim to inspire the next generation of economists, policymakers, business leaders, and informed citizens by drawing on the knowledge and skills developed through my extensive teaching experience to deliver high-quality, impactful, and inclusive learning.
I use inclusive, student-engaged techniques such as collaborative problem-solving, small-group case work, visual modelling, and structured, iterative feedback to support learners with varied academic backgrounds. My lessons typically run 1–2 hours and balance conceptual explanation with applied financial and economic examples. My tutoring supports GCSE and A-Level learners from diverse academic backgrounds.
