In my role as a Teaching Assistant, I supported students during lectures, to enhance their understanding of course material and promote academic engagement. I provided one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual learning needs, including students requiring additional academic or pastoral support. I worked closely with teaching staff to assist with lesson preparation, learning resources, and classroom organisation, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment. My responsibilities also included supporting classroom management, maintaining safeguarding and confidentiality standards, and assisting with marking, feedback, and general administrative duties. Through this role, I developed strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to adapt support strategies to suit diverse learning styles and abilities.
