Experienced English as a Foreign Language Tutor

I am an enthusiastic and engaging tutor with several years experience tutoring students in English, EFL and Maths.

I have been tutoring for four years while studying my degree. I speak Mandarin and have taught English as a second language to children and adults. My teaching style is flexible to the needs of the student and their personal goals. Students and their parents have told me that they keep coming back to my classes because I make an effort to find out the personal interests of my students and keep them engaged by teaching language through games and engaging with topics they enjoy.

I've also tutored in both primary school Maths and English. My areas of expertise include grammar, reading comprehension, writing, and critical thinking skills. I use a range of resources such as textbooks, videos, and other multimedia tools to make my lessons fun and interactive. I am also skilled at identifying areas where students need more attention and creating tailored lesson plans to address these gaps.

I've previously worked as a carer for children and young adults with SEN. I make it a priority to get to know my students and their learning styles, so I can tailor their lessons accordingly.
