Hi! I'm Zijie, a Physics graduate from the University of Manchester with an MSc in Data Science from the University of York. I have several years of one-to-one tutoring experience, having supported a student in Hong Kong from Secondary 1 through to Secondary 6 in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. She has recently completed her secondary education and progressed to The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. My teaching approach focuses on helping students genuinely understand concepts rather than simply memorising formulas. I like to break down difficult topics into manageable steps, use practical examples, and work through problems together until students feel confident solving them independently. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to their individual needs, whether that means revisiting fundamentals, improving problem-solving skills, or tackling more challenging material. Above all, I aim to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence in Maths and Physics.
