Advert description
Hi! I'm a Particle Physics PhD student at the University of Manchester, and I offer friendly, personalised tutoring in Maths and Physics at GCSE and A-level, as well as university-level Physics.
I have several years of teaching and mentoring experience, including tutoring Maths and English with the charity Team Up, mentoring secondary school students through physics and engineering activities, and teaching undergraduate students at the University of Manchester.
My approach is relaxed, patient and tailored to each student. I know that Maths and Physics can sometimes feel intimidating, so I focus on breaking down difficult topics into simple, manageable steps and making sure students really understand the ideas behind what they're learning.
In our lessons, we can work through topics you're struggling with, practise exam-style questions, go over homework or build confidence in areas you find challenging. I like to use worked examples and encourage students to have a go themselves, rather than just memorising formulas or methods.
Whether you're aiming for a particular exam grade, preparing for university or simply looking to feel more confident in Maths or Physics, I'll adapt our sessions to your goals and pace. My aim is to make lessons engaging, supportive and genuinely useful, while helping you develop the skills to tackle problems independently.
