I have experience supporting both primary and secondary school students through my role as a Teaching Assistant, where I provided one-to-one and small group support for pupils with different learning needs and abilities. My responsibility was to help students understand lessons, build their confidence and encourage them to participate in classroom activities. I adapted my teaching approach to suit each student's learning style, explained concepts in a clear and engaging way, provided positive encouragement and supported students with reading, writing and numeracy tasks while working closely with teachers to ensure every student received the support they needed. As a result, students became more engaged in their learning, developed greater confidence and were able to complete tasks more independently. My current role as a Library and Learning Resources Assistant has further strengthened my communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, as I provide guidance to learners, help them access educational resources and support them in a busy learning environment. These experiences have developed my patience, adaptability and passion for helping young people achieve their full potential, making me well suited to delivering engaging and supportive online tutoring sessions.
