I have two years of experience teaching English to students ranging from Year 5 to Year 13, including those with reading difficulties. I am patient and adaptable, tailoring lessons to different students. With young students, I use engaging activities, while exam students benefit from structured lessons, exam practice and essay feedback. One of my students got an A* in English IGCSE after being predicted a low B. I aim to build confidence and help students feel comfortable sharing difficulties. I am very dedicated to my work, but also to the students themselves; I understand how difficult it can be when students are uncertain in the classroom and therefore the importance of help outside of school. I aim to build their critical thinking and literacy skills so they not only achieve their exam grades but also feel more confident in their ability.
