In my previous experiences when doing private tutoring, I have always started my classes by discussing about the day of the learner in the second language of the learner. This really eases the tension of getting right every single word for them and it helps them learn casual and common language. I like using listenings, reading books, etc. I plan to use different media so that the learning experience becomes fun and not dull.
