Advert description
Build on students’ prior knowledge & curiosity
I begin lessons by finding out what students already know, what misconceptions they might have, and what questions they have. This helps me connect new content to their experience and spark their interest. Inquiry-based and hands-on learning
I design experiments, investigations, or projects where students ask their own questions, test hypotheses, gather data, and draw conclusions. Doing science rather than just hearing about it helps deepen understanding. Use demonstrations, models & visual aids
Where possible, I demonstrate processes in class (for example chemical reactions, physical phenomena) and use models to illustrate key ideas. Visual representation and simulations help make abstract ideas more concrete. Relate science to real-world contexts
I try to show how science is relevant to everyday life—environmental issues, health, technology, etc. This relevance motivates students and helps them see the purpose behind what they’re learning.
