Advert description
My name is Mani, and I am currently a Year 2 Economics student at University College London (UCL). I previously studied at Cardiff Sixth Form College, one of the top high schools in the UK, where I achieved outstanding results in IGCSE and A-Level examinations (Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Economics, and EPQ — all A*).
During my university application period, I received offers from HKU (BBA (Law)), HKUST, Warwick, and Manchester for Economics, demonstrating my strong academic foundation.
I have several years of tutoring experience, teaching Chinese, English, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Economics. My students include primary and secondary school pupils, as well as IGCSE and A-Level learners.
I am very familiar with the UK GCSE and A-Level curriculum, especially the IGCSE and A-Level exam format and marking criteria. I design personalised study plans and notes based on each student’s level, needs, and goals.
In my lessons, I emphasise developing understanding, strengthening fundamentals, improving exam techniques, and encouraging active thinking. I also incorporate interactive examples to make learning more engaging and effective.
Classes can be taught in Cantonese, English, or Mandarin, and are mainly delivered online for flexibility and convenience.
Over the past few years, I have helped many students achieve significant academic improvement — one of my students improved from a B to a stable A* in Mathematics. Beyond grades, I also focus on building students’ confidence, motivation, and interest in learning, helping them feel more prepared and calm when facing exams.
