Through the skills I teach and my ability to adapt my tutoring method to a student's learning preferences, I have tutored students from KS3 (ages 12–14), KS4 (14–16), GCSE and A Level students (16–18) to a high level of competency.

I focus my lessons on the areas where the student needs extra help using their learning technique. In doing so, reading comprehension, writing skills and critical thinking abilities are enhanced. As a student who struggled with English before, I learnt to work my way to the top grades through consistency and discipline, which was not always easy. Thus, in my experience, while creating the personalised lessons, I learnt how to alter my teaching methods that would best suit the students' learning techniques.

What suits many students are the use of exemplar answers. In identifying the strengths and weaknesses of those exemplar answers, students develop critical analysis, in which they can apply to their own work when proof-reading. Therefore, students will be able to understand where and most importantly, how to improve their work.

I have tutored students from KS3 (ages 12-14), KS4 (14-16) GCSE and A Level students (16-18) to a high level of competency through the skills I teach and my ability to modify my tutoring style to fit a student’s learning preferences. I am aware of how critical it is for students to be comfortable with their work and have the ability to approach a subject from various perspectives.
