Hey! My name’s Kabir and I’m a tutor for all levels up to GCSE Maths, Computer Science, English Language, and Physics across all major exam boards. I received a 9 in Maths (Edexcel), Computer Science (OCR) and English Language (Edexcel) GCSE and an 8 in my Physics (Edexcel) GCSE, achieving 9 8’s and above. I’ve got five years experience as a tutor and have taught many students of many types, so I’m confident that I’ll be able to get you where you want to be and then some. When we meet for the first time, I like to start by checking what you already know before moving on, because most problems come from not getting the basics rather than the topic itself. It’s usually a short paper covering what someone at your year should know. Around a month later, we retake a similar test and you’ll see yourself that you’re getting better. When teaching a new topic, I like to teach it by a clear demonstration and analogies, then I write down simple steps and let you try a similar problem. If it still doesn’t click, I split the topic into the smallest possible parts and teach each step until it makes sense. I am patient, relaxed, and happy to keep going at a sensible pace until you understand the topic properly. If you want to challenge me with a problem at the end of a session, I’m always up for it!
