Spanish Teacher specializing in teaching through Comprehensible Input

¡Hola a todos! (Hello everyone!)

My name is Amanda. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and have been teaching Spanish to adults and teens for more than 6 years. I absolutely love teaching and sharing my love for the Spanish language with my students.

I would consider myself to be a very flexible and accommodating teacher. I am friendly, patient and I love to laugh. My first priority is to make a personal connection with my students so that they feel at ease and comfortable expressing themselves. I have experience teaching students with little to no knowledge of Spanish and students at intermediate and advanced levels. I encourage my students to make as many mistakes as possible, laugh about them and learn from them.

Now... are you ready to learn Spanish through Comprehensible Input? I mean really acquire, understand and produce the Spanish language at your own pace? Well these are the lessons for you! Whether you are have a little experience, some experience or absolutely no experience with the Spanish language, this approach will help you acquire Spanish in a fun and meaningful way.

What is Comprehensible Input (C.I.) anyway? Comprehensible Input simply refers to words and phrases that you can understand in another language through reading and/or listening at any given moment. I teach using solely this method so that you don't have to worry about boring textbooks, memorizing grammar rules or vocabulary lists or any of the painfully ineffective teaching methods you experienced in high school or college.

Each class will be specially designed to suit your needs. During these classes we will focus on all four language skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking). I will provide all of the materials for you each class. There will be articles, photo/video description activities, songs and song lyric activities, writing activities, games and much more!

These lessons are recommended for students who really want to be immersed into the Spanish language and the culture surrounding it.
