Advert description
My name is Gilburd Acquaah-Harrison, and I believe that great teaching starts with empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to see others succeed. With a BSc in Mathematics and current studies toward a medical degree (MBChB), I understand the value of education, discipline, and encouragement from both sides — as a student and a mentor.
I began tutoring because I saw how many students struggle with confidence in subjects like maths, not because they lack ability, but because they haven't yet had someone explain it in a way that makes sense to them. I’ve worked with learners of all backgrounds, including students with special educational needs (SEN), and I’ve seen first-hand how the right guidance can transform not just academic performance, but a student’s self-belief.
Teaching is more than just delivering content — it's about unlocking potential, breaking down mental barriers, and helping people discover that they CAN do it. That’s what drives me. I tailor each lesson to the individual, creating a calm, respectful space where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow.
