Psychology graduate (Bath University) and trainee counselling psychologist — GCSE & A-Level tutoring

I'm a Psychology graduate from the University of Bath with an A* in A-Level Psychology, now training as a counselling psychologist- so the subject isn't something I studied once and filed away; it's what I'm immersed in every day. I tutor Psychology at GCSE and A-Level, online.

My lessons are calm, focused and built around you. I start by working out where you're finding things difficult, then we build from there at a pace that suits you rather than racing through the syllabus. One thing I pay close attention to is exam technique, in Psychology you can understand a topic well and still lose marks because the answer wasn't structured the way the mark scheme expects. Knowing the content and knowing how to answer the question are two different skills, and the second is where marks are won, so we work on both. I bring in real past-paper questions and mark schemes so the exam format feels familiar long before you sit it.

A bit about me: alongside tutoring I work with children in a primary school and previously played professional tennis, so I'm patient, adaptable, and used to helping people stay calm under pressure. What I care about most is that students leave feeling more capable than when they arrived; clearer on the subject, calmer about the exam, and maybe even a bit more curious about how the mind works.
