I start by understanding where a student is at - their syllabus, their strengths, and where they're losing confidence or things they have trouble understanding - then build sessions around that rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. I break down complex theories and studies into plain, memorable explanations, use real-world examples to make concepts stick, and check understanding through questions rather than just talking at a student. I keep sessions interactive and encouraging, so students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, and I set light follow-up tasks between sessions to build on progress. I make sure to check-in with the student to see how I can adapt my teaching methods to suit them better and enhance their learning.
