Advert description
My name is Nicole, I am currently getting my Bachelor’s degree in Science at UCL studying Psychology with modules in Anatomy and neuroscience. I have been tutoring and working in a variety of schools and summer camps for over 6 years.
Having had my own negative experiences with difficult, uninterested or impatient teachers, I know the difference that having a tutor that knows how to teach a subject in a clear and interesting manner can make. Coming from a self-taught language background has allowed me to quickly pick up on a student’s individual strengths and weaknesses to tailor sessions to their learning styles, which is particularly important for French.
I received all 9s for 13 GCSEs, and A*A*AA for my A-levels in English Literature, Psychology, French and Mathematics.
I believe that being a student myself gives me much greater empathy and understanding towards other students, but does not at all diminish my knowledge or capacity to teach. In fact, it means that I am up-to-date and highly familiar with the current curriculums, exam boards and exam requirements.
Sessions are 1 typically hour long and conducted over Zoom; the first lesson is introductory so that you have a chance to run through and explain what you would like to work on. I can share my full CV upon request.
I teach students from Year 9 to Sixth form, but also have significant experience teaching younger children. All of my students showed rapid improvement and found real enjoyment for their subject after our tutoring completed.
