ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Irina, and I’m an English teacher for adults. I’m TEFL/TESOL-certified and currently finishing my bachelor’s degree. I have broad experience working online with adults from oil & gas, IT, business, biology, and more. I’ve also worked with kids in public schools and camps, and I’ve guided tours in English.
What I enjoy most is tailoring lessons to each person — focusing on the topics my students actually care about (the ones that are usually never in textbooks). That’s why I often use videos, images, memes, songs, and other real-life materials in class.
I use ed-tech tools like Holst, Quizlet, Photoshop, and AI to create visual and interactive content and keep lessons engaging but well-structured. I mostly teach American vocabulary and pronunciation, but I don’t insist — if you’re a British English fan, I’ll be happy to work with you too.
We’ll definitely find something to talk about: my hobbies include rock climbing, piano/drums, Spanish, motocross, gardening, and a bit of freediving. I’d love to hear about yours!
So yes — my lessons are not just a friendly call with a “budget therapist,” but professional, high-quality teaching too :)
