I am a native English speaker with 2 year's experience teaching english for 11+ and GCSE

I have a Master's Degree in International Journalism and a BA in Modern History from the University of Oxford. I specialised in English higher level for the International Baccalaureate where I received grade 7 and I received an A* in English GCSE.

I tutored for 2 years face-to-face in London for 11+ entrance exams for a company called Pembroke tutors where I had 3 students.

My view on education is that the ability to learn quickly should not be the determining factor in a student's success. What really matters is the idea of 'grit', that is, instilling in a student a sense of passion and motivation in the long term over the course of an education to complete long-term goals through stamina rather than cramming in the few weeks running up to an exam.

I like to find exercises that instil a sense of fun to lessons. I have the patience to go over difficult topics finding novel ways to explain challenging grammar and spelling areas.
