CELTA qualified native English speaker with BA English Literature

Hello, I'm Sophia. I am a native English speaker and a CELTA- and TEFL-qualified teacher with experience teaching English to both adults and children. I hold a BA (Hons) in English Literature.

I began working with children while still at school myself, in roles such as summer school assistant, teaching assistant, and nanny. I later worked in social care, supporting vulnerable women and children fleeing violence, war, and poverty.

In 2023, I became an English teacher for children in South Korea, teaching learners aged 6 to 15. Since then, I have taught English in both monolingual and multilingual classrooms in the UK and Turkey.

I am an inclusive teacher who enjoys designing dynamic lessons tailored to my students’ individual needs, goals, interests, learning styles, and motivations. I have both professional and lived experience of neurodivergence and warmly welcome students who may require additional learning support.
