Hi, I'm Charlie!

Maths has always been a part of my life. Both of my parents are maths teachers up to A-Level, and they taught me how to think mathematically from an early age. This helped me a great deal in school and I found myself consistently achieving As and A*s in maths and further maths throughout my 11+, GCSEs and A-Levels, so I am very familiar with the challenges that this period of learning can throw up.

I've been giving lessons in Maths and Guitar for over 10 years and I'm very familiar with 11+ and GCSE subject matter. In that time I've found the most important element of learning to be your comfort as a student when it comes to tackling the areas in which you feel to be the most challenging, and progressing into topics which may be unfamiliar!

With that in mind, my lessons aim to create a space in which we can work together to fill in any gaps that may exist and move forward steadily into new material. We will work together to tackle problems going step by step to build your understanding until you are ready to solve them on your own!

Our first couple of sessions will help me to find your strengths as a mathematician and how best I can help you to grow. As we progress we will go over material old and new, either following the topics you are working on in school and homework or taking our own path through the syllabus, whichever way best suits your needs.

I will be there to create a learning environment that ensures you are always learning and growing in confidence and ability during our lesson without ever feeling overwhelmed, and always contactable outside of lesson time for any maths help you may need!

There aren't many things that I find more gratifying than seeing a student grow in ability and confidence through my lessons and I'm fortunate enough to have had many experiences doing so. I can assure you that with me you will find an encouraging and supportive presence whose mission it will be to act as your mathematical resource and guide!

Lessons can last between 30 minutes and 2 hours to your preference and are held online. I am available 7 days a week, don't hesitate to get in touch so we can set up a time!
