Hi, myself Kulsoom Abbas and I am glad to be able to join this platform. I am looking forward to deliver my skills through friendly yet professional techniques that will make maths lessons easy to understand with conceptional and activity based learning that will not only clarify the basic concepts but will also help you to remember in applied skills.
I did my degree in Applied Mathematical Sciences and truly enjoy the application of Maths everywhere in the world. I believe in Student-Centered Learning (SCL), because it is beneficial for the child's personal growth in that specific subject. It is more helpful in clearing the concepts and can bring more ideas to make the lessons better.
I have alomost 7 years of teaching/tutoring experience and in that period nothing excites me more than my students satisfaction when they understand the topic and try to do more hard work to excel.
It is indeed very rewarding and the relationship a teacher builds with a student leaves a long-term impact.
There are 5 methods of teaching mathematics: problem-solving, lecture, inductive, deductive, analytic, synthetic and discovery methods. I prefer choosing a method after the introductory lesson which gives me an idea about the student's approach and his need in the subject. I focus on the issues a child is facing in understanding the concepts and cater step by step to make him understand. Once it is evident that what are the areas to focus then it becomes easy to carry-on which also makes the student to feel confident in learning from the comfort of his home.
