Advert description
Maths doesn’t come naturally to everyone, and it can feel daunting. I’ve been there - struggling through A-Levels, to eventually completing a Civil Engineering degree, I've come to believe that clear, step-by-step explanations focusing on areas of weakness are key to building confidence as well as enjoying and succeeding in the subject.
Every student is different, which is why I aim to be patient, flexible and encourage discussion in lessons. I try to make sure pupils always feel comfortable asking questions and never dismissed.
I also volunteer as a junior leader with a Cub Scout group and have experience mentoring A-Level maths students, which has helped to develop my ability to explain ideas clearly, as well as needing to adapt to different learning styles.
