Advert description
I believe every student learns in a different way and at their own pace, so, I tailor my lesson structure to fit each student's needs!
Throughout my experience at school and uni, I have realised that the road to effective learning is split into 5 steps.
Firstly, I take the time to understand the extent of their knowledge on a topic. Then, I re-teach the topic by dividing it into bitesize portions. After this, I demonstrate what I have just taught through the use of written examples (allowing the student to absorb how the theory is applied). After using examples, I allow the student to dispel any of their confusions or misunderstandings by asking questions and finally, the student is given the opportunity to test their understanding with a mini test.
Of course, this is not a 'one-size-fits-all' formula. Rather, it is a rough teaching guideline designed to ensure no stone is left unturned.
At GCSE, I studied Maths, Additional Maths, English Language, English Literature, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Religious Studies, DT, and Mandarin Chinese. At university, I specialised in econometrics (statistics), macroeconomics, and development economics. My professional experiences include having worked at a Private Equity firm in London and a Law firm in Kuala Lumpur.
Importantly, my lessons are designed to be engaging and fun! I am a strong believer that every student has the capacity to excel, and, with the tailored and methodical teaching approach I offer, I believe that student can be you!
