Advert description
It is my experience that when it comes to learning, much rests on the teacher.
The right approach, tailored to the student, helps them excel. Conversely, a standardised 'one-size- fits-all' approach has been shown to be counterproductive. It has negative consequences, principally excluding those with different needs and different learning styles. Having initially struggled at school myself to later go on to a top-ranking institution (UCL) and now be writing a PhD, I know this first-hand. I can bring the sensitivity and stratagems developed then to the task of helping students overcome their limitations.
Accordingly, the teaching style will begin with an interview with the relevant party to clarify the student's particularity: interests, motivation and challenges faced. From here, we can develop the appropriate method to help the student realise their potential.
The lessons would be of particular benefit to those: (i) Facing particular difficulties with English at school ; (ii) Looking to refine their deployment of 'english-as-a-foreign-language'.
However, all are welcome.
