As part of my approach to tutoring, I begin by identifying a clear list of core topics aligned with the curriculum and ensure these are thoroughly reviewed before developing any lesson plans. I design lessons with differentiated tasks, including structured starter activities, core practice, and challenging extensions to support both struggling students and fast learners. Before starting formal instruction, I take time to assess each student’s current level of understanding to tailor my teaching effectively. I also incorporate regular low-pressure quizzes and mini assessments to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement. These assessments are framed positively as opportunities for students to showcase their knowledge helping reduce stress and build confidence. As I get to know each student, I offer increasingly personalised support to target their specific learning needs and help them reach their full potential.
