Languages Tutor with experience with a range of ages

Hiya! I am a languages tutor who loves to incorporate cultural knowledge into how I teach vocabulary and grammar! I like to emphasise practice, practice, practice in a range of ways through fun activities like blooket and games as well as past paper questions. I tend to start the lesson with quizlet practice of vocab and I normally ask my students to practice vocab in between lessons. I incorporate a range of exercises that help to revise reading, listening, writing and speaking skills. I teach online so in order to explain new concepts through presentations or to go over questions I share my screen so that it is clear what I am talking about.

For Spanish I have done edexcel IGCSE (9) and eduqas A-level (A*). For Mandarin I have done AQA GCSE (9) and edexcel A-level (A). For Latin I have done OCR GCSE (9) and A-level. (A). I have currently just finished my second year studying Spanish and Italian at the University of Cambridge.

In the past I tutored a student in GCSE Mandarin for about a year. I tutored a student in GCSE Spanish for 4 years and he has achieved top grades in his recent exams (94%). I have also tutored a few more Spanish GCSE students with particular emphasis on speaking. I tutored Latin literature over this recent GCSE period and I am currently tutoring a student in basic latin. In terms of tutoring for mandarin speaking I would advise you to find a different tutor as I am not a native speaker so not as experienced in using exemplar pronunciation.
