My lesson plan is determined by my students' needs, but in general, I prepare a high-quality lesson that includes information on the topic we will be studying and go over the content. Once they have clear comprehension, we spend the majority of the course contextualising the material through exam questions. This increases their ability to understand the issue and apply it to any situation.
