My teaching philosophy
As an experienced educator, I understand that learning English as a second language can feel tough and even stressful, but don’t worry—I’ve got you! My goal is to make learning fun, relaxed, and something you actually enjoy. Think of me as your friend and practice buddy, here to guide you and cheer you on.
Here’s what I focus on:
1) Building learning resilience: Nobody’s perfect, and that’s totally okay. In my classes, you’re free to mess up because every mistake is a chance to get better and build learning resilience.
2) Improving confidence: By pushing yourself to practice English in a stress-free and trusting environment, like my classes, you improve your English level, and therefore you become more confident in using the language in less familiar situations.
3) Thinking in English: This is super important for becoming fluent! you’ll train your brain to think in English, so it makes your communication style more natural. We’ll work on two types of brain thinking patterns: 1) Fast thinking for quick responses during conversations or real-life situations. 2) Slow thinking for when responses could be delayed and you can take your time to think; like writing an email, a university assignment or giving a presentation.
