It's all in my CV but I started teaching English as a PhD student in 2005 and first became a lecturer in 2008.. During the subsequent years I have taught across all platforms from delivery of lectures to leading seminars and workshops and supervision both of dissertations and group and individual practical projects. I am also conversant in all types of teaching and learning and assessment strategies including instructive, constructive and co-constructive teaching. In general, and where appropriate, I prefer co-constructive teaching because it empowers students to take ownership of the teaching and learning process and further facilitates the transition from tutor-centred to student-centred teaching.
