Highly Experienced English and Drama Teacher

I have over six years of teaching experience online, 1-1 mentoring and in both mainstream and behavioural schools and I value supporting students on their path to success. I am a qualified English as a Second Language Tutor and hold a 1st class degree in business management. I am well-travelled, having taught English in Brazil so I have a strong cultural awareness and each class is tailored to the individual student.

I adopt a student-led approach, so whichever areas you wish to develop I can structure our lessons around that, whether that be conversational English, Business English or Performing and Public Speaking. By connecting, listening to and valuing each student's voice, I enjoy providing a fun yet safe and productive workspace with transactional learning at the core. Additionally, I am currently specialising in 1:1 with special education needs pupils so we can work with a tailored Individual Learning Plan. We will use a variety of materials and keep things creative. You are welcome to provide materials if there is a specific test you are studying for, or I will provide them including, worksheets, games, role play, tests, audio and much more.

The content of each session is dependant on your specific goals which we can set in our first class together, but generally we will start with understanding the subject topics, before assessing your level of knowledge on the topic. We will always aim to work on speaking and listening and reading and writing. I encourage my students to use a range of tools and exercises which I will provide you with and then feedback to me which you find most beneficial for learning as I understand that everyone learns in a different way - that way our classes will be much more effective.
