HEAH: Inspiring Alternative Education for 8 to16 Year Olds

I lead HEAH: Open Routes for All Learners CIC, a trauma-informed and coaching-led learning hub based in South East London. We specialise in supporting children and young people aged 8–16 who thrive in smaller, more nurturing environments.

Our lessons are designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and develop key life skills through a blend of:

Creative learning (Arts Award: Discover to Gold, poetry, digital media, design projects)

Academic support (English, maths, study skills, Functional Skills preparation)

Wellbeing activities (emotional literacy, self-leadership, mentoring, physical fitness and mindfulness)

Each learner has an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) tailored to their interests, needs and goals. We deliver lessons in small groups (max. 6 learners) through a mix of in-person sessions at our studio and guided online learning, creating a safe, flexible, and engaging learning space.

*Strength-based: recognising and celebrating every learner’s talents

*Progress-focused: learners work towards AQA Unit Awards and Arts Awards to gain nationally recognised certificates
