Advert description
Growing up, I also wanted to be a writer, and I wanted to travel the world. I was lucky enough to have family in Europe, so I able to take a little educational detour before really figuring out my major course of study. I traveled in Europe (mostly Spain and France) for two years and tutored French children from age 5 to 12 in ESL. When I finally got serious about learning, I decided to pursue media studies and journalism. I am a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Radio and Television with a concentration on news production. I impressed the head of the Journalism Department so much that I received an assistantship there after graduation. I worked as a News Writing Lab Assistant mostly and substituted taught: Journalism I and II, PR, Advertising, and Copy Editing. I nearly finished my degree, but once again, I had a detour in my education. I decided to just start working, and luckily, I got an opportunity to freelance write for an educational company. I got a taste for working independently and haven't looked back! I've been working remotely since 2009. And for the last decade, I've worked for various education companies scoring the writing portion of TOEFL, SAT, ACT and STAAR, and other state standardize exams. I love the work and the variety.
