I would spend the first 10 minutes reviewing old content or going through homework or questions to consolidate previous knowledge. I would then ask the student if there are any topics they would like me to go through , maybe something they learned at school or a test that they might have. After this I would teach them the content in a way they understand best , lots of diagrams for visual learners etc. After teaching the content to them I would then work through a few exam questions with them so that they can understand the exam format as that technique is required and would help them a lot. After going through exam questions with them I would ask them to attempt a few on their own while listening to how they answer the questions and offering my help where needed. To end the session I would quiz them lightly on what they learnt during the session and set them a task as homework.
