Advert description
My vocal journey began at eight, training classically at Salisbury and Wells Cathedrals, before completing a Jazz Singing degree at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. I've since enjoyed over 20 years as a professional vocalist, performing internationally at venues including Glastonbury and the Royal Albert Hall.
Yet despite my extensive training, I struggled for years with vocal breaks, tension and inconsistencies in my own voice. This led me to explore vocal science more deeply, alongside the emotional and psychological aspects of singing.
I understand that the voice is deeply personal, and that fear, self-judgement and emotional tension can sometimes hold us back just as much as technical challenges.
My teaching brings these worlds together. We work with breath, resonance, vocal coordination, register transitions and range, while also creating space to build confidence, release limiting habits and discover greater freedom of expression.
Whether you're struggling with vocal breaks, finding your confidence or simply wanting to explore your voice, my approach is supportive, personalised and grounded in both technical knowledge and lived experience.
