My teaching style is to find out where there are gaps in the student's knowledge and working my way from there. I ensure they attempt all problems and try to work through it before assisting. This way they are encouraged to think through the problem without being told how to solve it. This instils confidence and an understanding of the material rather than memorising the method required.
