I give private lessons to girls who want to learn in a safe and comfortable environment

My lessons require active recall on a topic to initially see what is understood and what isn’t understood. This can be prompted by questions or by simply doing a sample with initially little to no help. From then we break down the topic, explore several scenarios within the topic and work through examples. The student will then have to use the information to answer different examples after that can look similar or completely different to ensure there isn’t any copying. I encourage students to ask questions whenever they don’t understand or if they want further information on something as children don’t learn simply by being spoken to. They also themselves need to engage and should feel confident enough to do so with me. To ensure good retention, random questions from a previous topic may be given as a starter during the session to encourage students to think back to the lesson and their notes.
When meeting a new student, I always like to get a bit of background information on their studies and in particular what they’ve been struggling with so we can get to work quickly and efficiently with their weaknesses. Encouragement is extremely important so little praises within sessions are always good to boost confidence.
As a Muslim woman,, I would like to provide a safe and comfortable environment for girls. I have experience with tutoring as it’s something I’ve done since 2022 up until this present day! On top of that, I’ve also been a Learning Support Teaching Assistant in a girls’ school.
