I believe that when the teaching and learning goes two way, the learning process goes smooth and easier rather than receiving boring lectures for the entire time. I bond with my students to make the class stress free and at the end of the day you could have reached the level to not only know what is in the text book but also think beyond that which will make the next levels smooth as well.
