Advert description
I will start by figuring out where a student's understanding actually breaks down, rather than just re-covering the whole topic. Sessions usually follow this shape:
Quick diagnostic — a few questions to see what's solid and what's shaky
Concept-first explanation — using analogies and diagrams before diving into terminology, so the "why" comes before the "what"
Applied practice — past-paper or exam-style questions, since biology exams reward application, not recall
Active recall check — short recap at the end so it sticks, not just for the session
I adjust pace and depth to the student — building confidence with fundamentals for those who are struggling, or pushing into exam technique and higher-mark question strategy for those aiming for top grades.
