Understand Biology with me, an HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist and an online TEFL tutor

I am an HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist with a First-Class Honours degree in Biomedical Science and 10 years of hands-on scientific experience in NHS medical microbiology. I also hold a BA in English Philology, have 2 years of experience tutoring English online as a second language, and hold a Certificate in Counselling Skills and a TEFL diploma.

HOW I TEACH

Exam-focused learning: We will look at mock exams from previous years, try to find the best answers, and explore things you don't know yet or need to practise.

Practical explanations: We will use online tools to explain scientific concepts, and I will also draw on my hands-on experience in medical microbiology.

Interactive online tools: We will use an online whiteboard, videos and AI to help you understand the scientific concepts you need for your exams.

Personalised support: We will work in a stress-free environment, with the main focus on your progress and interests in biology.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Monthly lesson package: You choose which hour you prefer each week, based on my availability above. For example, you could book four lessons per month.

Payment: Payment is due at the beginning of each month to secure your scheduled lessons, via bank transfer (bank account details will be specified in the contract).

Platform: All lessons are delivered one-to-one via Microsoft Teams.

Learning materials: Resources are organised in your personal Google Drive folder.

Cancellation policy: Lessons can be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson are non-refundable.
