GCSE English Language & Literature Tutor - Achieved Grade 9 in Both Subjects

Advert description
Having achieved Grade 9s in both English Literature and English Language. I understand what it takes to achieve the highest grades and can help students develop the skills, knowledge, and exam technique needed to reach their full potential.

As I am currently on a gap year, I can dedicate plenty of time and effort to preparing engaging, personalised lessons tailored to each student's individual needs.

My lessons focus on:
- Thoroughly understanding set texts, key themes, characters, and quotations in English Literature.
- Developing analytical skills and learning how to write sophisticated, well-structured essays.
- Mastering English Language reading and writing questions, with a particular focus on exam technique.
- Practising past papers and exam-style questions, with detailed feedback on how to improve answers and gain more marks.
- Identifying common mistakes and targeting weaker areas to help students make consistent progress.
- Building confidence in a supportive, friendly environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and tackling challenging topics.
Having achieved Grade 9s in both subjects, I can share the techniques and strategies that helped me succeed, helping students understand exactly what examiners are looking for and how to meet the top-level marking criteria.

I believe every student can improve with the right guidance, encouragement, and preparation. My aim is to make lessons enjoyable and productive while helping students build confidence, strengthen their skills, and achieve the best grades possible.
