My approach to teaching Welsh would be friendly, interactive and tailored to each student's ability and goals. I'd start by understanding your current level and what you hope to achieve, whether that's improving conversational Welsh, preparing for exams or learning from scratch. I'd combine practical conversations with vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing exercises, using everyday situations to make lessons engaging and relevant. Having learned several languages myself, I understand that speaking can often be the most intimidating part of learning. That's why I'd focus on creating a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and gradually building your confidence. Above all, I want you to enjoy learning Welsh and recognise it as a living language they can use beyond the classroom.
